Corpl. Wesley M. Cochran; Co. A, 40th Ohion Infantry; died 01Sept1891
The headstone was lower 2 inches, set on 10 x 12 x 2.5 inch dimensioned stone footing, leveled, and plumbed.[ Dimension sandstone provided by Tribble Stone, Boulder, CO 80302. ] Due to having initially been set too shallow, the headstone was both tilted ( pitched ) forward ~ 13 degrees and tilted ( rolled ) to the north ~ 5 degrees. Wesley M. Cochran enlisted as a Private and was mustered into Company A, 40th Ohio Infantry, on 05Sept1861 at 18 years of age. He served 37 months in into Company A, 40th Ohio Infantry, 05Sept1861 to 07Oct1864. Wesley M. Cochran was promoted to Corporal, date not stated. Wesley M. Cochran was mustered out on 07Oct1864 at Atlanta, Ga. While Wesley M.
