Musician Harmon J. Fulton, ; Company C / D, 18th Ohio Infantry
Harmon J. Fulton enlisted as a Musician on 26 Feb 1864 at the age of 18 years. He was mustered into Company 'C' of the 18th Ohio Infantry on 26 Feb 1864. He was transfer to Company 'D' on 20 Oct 1864 [intra-regimental company transfer]. He served more than 19 month in the 18th Ohio Infantry; 26 Feb 1864 to 09 Oct 1865. While Harmon J. Fulton was in service, the 18th Ohio Infantry was engaged in the Battles of Nashville, Tenn., 15-16 December 1864. This battle had a direct impact on the course of the war. Harmon J. Fulton was mustered out at Augusta, Ga., 09 Oct, and discharged at Columbus, Ohio, 22 Oct 1865. The CVGR reports Harmon J. Fulton was born in Athens, Ohio, in 1847 and died at Montezuma, Colo, on 17 June 1900. Note: The Historical Data Systems data bases list Fulton's middle initial as 'F'; H.J.
